How do I book a service?

The easiest way to get started is to schedule a complimentary Virtual Meet & Greet. This is a no-obligation video call where we get to know each other, discuss your cat's routine and needs, and answer all your questions — all from the comfort of home. From there, booking is simple — just reach out by phone, email, or through our contact form.

Question 2

What happens during a Virtual Meet & Greet?

A Virtual Meet & Greet is a relaxed, 30–45 minute video call. We'll cover your cat's feeding schedule, medication needs, litter box setup, behavioral notes, emergency contacts, vet information, and home access details. It's a convenient, time-saving way to get everything set up before the first visit — no travel required. In-home meet & greets are available on request, particularly for cats with complex medical or behavioral needs.

What areas do you serve?

We serve Denver and the surrounding metro area, including Littleton, Lakewood, Highlands Ranch, Englewood, Centennial, Morrison, Wheat Ridge, Arvada, and Golden. Not sure if we cover your neighborhood? Just ask — we're happy to check.

Question 4

How far in advance should I book?

For vacation care and overnight visits, we recommend booking at least 1–2 weeks in advance, especially during holidays and summer months. For regular drop-in visits, a few days' notice is usually sufficient. Emergency visits are available 24/7 with no advance notice required.

Question 5

How many visits does my cat need per day?

Accepted Answer

Most cats do well with 1–2 visits per day. Kittens, seniors, cats on medications, and anxious cats often benefit from more frequent visits. We'll discuss the right frequency during your Virtual Meet & Greet based on your cat's specific needs and temperament.

Question 6

What does a typical visit include?

Accepted Answer

Every visit includes fresh food and water, litter box cleaning, health observation, and quality time with your cat — play, grooming, or simply companionship based on what they enjoy. We also send a photo update and visit notes after every visit.

Will you always be the one visiting my cat?

Yes. Denver Kitty is an owner-operated service, which means the same trusted person you connected with at the Virtual Meet & Greet is the one who shows up every visit. No rotating staff, no strangers.

Question 8

What happens if my cat is hiding or won't come out?

Accepted Answer

Completely normal — and we never force interaction. We give shy cats space, speak softly, and let them set the pace. Over time, most cats warm up significantly. We always complete all care tasks regardless of whether your cat is visible, and we note their behavior in every visit report.

Question 9

Do you administer medications?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We administer oral medications (pills, liquids, pastes), topical treatments, eye and ear drops, insulin injections, and subcutaneous fluids. Our veterinary background means we're experienced with even complex medication protocols. We'll review all medications in detail during the Virtual Meet & Greet.

Can you care for my diabetic cat?

Absolutely. Diabetic cat care is one of our specialties. We administer insulin injections on a precise schedule, monitor for signs of hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia, and keep detailed logs of every dose. We can also coordinate with your veterinarian if any concerns arise.

Can you care for senior cats with complex needs?

Yes — senior and special needs cats are a core part of what we do. We're experienced with hyperthyroidism, kidney disease, arthritis, cognitive dysfunction, and other common senior conditions. We monitor closely for health changes and communicate promptly if anything concerns us.

Question 12

What happens if my cat has a medical emergency?

Your cat's safety is always the top priority. We'll attempt to reach you immediately, then contact your designated emergency contact. If veterinary care is needed urgently, we'll transport your cat to your vet or the nearest emergency animal hospital and stay with them until you or your emergency contact can take over. We carry your vet's information to every visit.

Question 13

How do you access my home?

Most clients arrange home access after the Virtual Meet & Greet — we can work with a key, lockbox, garage code, or smart lock, whatever is most convenient for you. Keys are kept secure and labeled only with a code — never your name or address.

Are you insured?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Denver Kitty carries professional liability insurance and is bonded, giving you complete peace of mind when we're in your home.

Question 15

Do you offer services on holidays?

Accepted Answer

Yes — we're available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, including all major holidays. Holiday surcharges may apply for some services.

What is your cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

We ask for at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations of individual visits. For vacation care packages, please provide 48–72 hours' notice when possible. We understand that plans change — just communicate with us and we'll work with you.
